The chart does not get to pretend.
If a birth time is unknown, I do not invent houses or angles that require it. If an exact birth date is unknown, an adoption or rescue date is not quietly substituted as a natal birthday. That date can be read as an event or milestone chart when appropriate. Unknown means unknown, and the reading is built around what the data can actually support.
A birthday tells us when they entered the world. A Gotcha Day tells us when they entered yours.

What I need from you
- Your animal’s name, species and photograph
- The adoption, rescue or homecoming date
- The city and country where they came home
- The exact or approximate time, if known
- The story of how you found each other
If you do not know the time
You do not need a perfect record for their story to matter. When the exact homecoming time is known, I can calculate a complete event chart with houses and angles. When it is unknown, I create an honest date-based reading without an Ascendant, Midheaven, houses or other time-dependent claims. I never invent a birth or adoption time.
